Everything made by hand contains some reflection of the life of those who have participated in the making. A unique object made with a particular person or group in mind springs from somewhere between those people and the maker; it would not exist without their focused will; they all become part of the story of the finished work.

The artist bends will and creative energy toward meeting the needs and desires of those individuals, that group. Through design and fabrication he applies his honed understanding of the possibilities of the medium in service to the outcome.

There is a spirit that exists within the object so crafted. It is a story held in form, palpable and unique; you can put your hand on it. Not everyone can feel the story but those who have participated know and remember. The maker does not know what to make until the dreamer arrives to interject desire and support for the process. Then something happens, something new.
