Coalescence (proposal)
copper 3' x 3' x 12' In 2005, Panorama City had a competition to choose a sculpture to be mounted in a water feature outside their new gymnasium. I proposed an airy geometric structure in copper. The engaging form would delight the eye with its elemental forms in relationship to one another, engaging curiosity through the patterns of shifting visual alignment within the work, expressed in shadow and reflection as the light changes, and as viewers’ perspective shifts. The piece was not chosen for this location, and awaits sponsorship. |
